The name is Ashley Bowman. I’ve been happily married for about 8 months to my best friend Adam Bowman.
I love married life for sure, but most of all, I love the man I married and the Holy God Who brought us together.
I’m an avid writer, I’m a lover of food and cooking (and cooking shows…. go ahead. Laugh.
), I’m a lover of people and relationships, and most-importantly, I’m a believer in Jesus Christ, the ONLY Savior of the world.
I write here about alot of things: check out my My Writing page for more information in that regard. The posts here neither define me as a person nor describe me to a T, but I hope they give you a window into my passons, my desires, my plans, and overall, my heart.
On the more detailed side of things, I am 23-yrs old. I am short with red hair that I wear straight or curly, both of which I have to attain artificially. (I have that naturally just-not-cooperative hair that I have to fight to make look halfway decent.) My passions include food, writing and editing, film criticques, product reviews, food, sports (baseball, ultimate frisbee, horseback riding, and climbing being some of my favorites), food, and just spending time with the people I love.
My husband Adam is an amazing young man. He’s 26, a lumber inspector for his family’s lumber mill (check out the site: A.D. Bowman and Son Lumber), a lieutenant in the volunteer fire department, and a youth leader at our church.
Regarding the name of this blog, Psalm 34 has been a very precious chapter in the Word for Adam and I these last few months. I encourage you to look it up, read it, and understand the promises that God gives His people. Verses 1-3 read:
1I will bless the LORD at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2My soul makes its boast in the LORD;
let the humble hear and be glad.
3Oh, magnify the LORD with me,
and let us exalt his name together!
I chose to use a section of verse two as my new title for this blog because a heart that boasts in the Lord is what I desire to be demonstrated in only this blog and all my writing but in my whole life. The subtitle “My life, my family, my food, and my writing…. all for the glory of God” is merely there to explain my desires for this blog and my whole life for that matter.
I want to be easily approachable so feel free to contact me about anything. I also take writing/cooking/reviewing/blogging suggestions, so feel free to suggest away.

Thank you for your blog. I google “jovial product review” and am glad to have found your A+ review, and am grateful to see that you post several gluten-free products. I am a survivor of Lupus who is undergoing a major lifestyle change when it comes to food/nourishment. Fortunately I was raised on healthy home-cooking. Stil, with research I’m realizing there are more changes I could make (such as a gluten-free diet) which would take me to another level…and with prayer I understand that it is a path that God has blessed for me. Ever since I realized what sorts of changes I would have to make (I would say, it’s been about a year and a half of transitioning–mostly mentally/spiritually)… I’ve been both nervous and excited. I’m walking the journey confident though b/c the God I serve has been faithful in leading me along the way (such as finding this website). Thank you again. p.s. I have subscribed to your blog and look forward to visiting often. Atlanta, Ga
